Mythril was launched in December, 2018.

Our foundation has always been our members. The concept of Mythril was developed around the same experience many of you have faced: trying to find a gaming community to call home. Before creating this group (Not a Buisness), several of us searched for a group where we felt welcomed, and included in games and events. It seemed like a simple task, and yet we found it unbelievably challenging. It seemed that for all the good that social platforms can bring to us together, there was a lack of human connection.

As a result, we began to develop what would turn into Mythril. Our focus was on establishing a personal connection with our members. To do this, we created the Meet and Greet – one of the foundations of New Member experience in our community. Every new recruit gets to meet a member of the Staff, who will get to talk with you about gaming, walk you through the group, get you introduced to everyone else, and then get you into game. We believe this offers our members a human connection with Mythril, and is a great starting point for membership into the community.

And as we’ve expanded from a handful of members, into a 300-member organization, our focus has remained the same. Our initial launch title – Overwatch – has morphed into four primary recruitment titles (with League of Legends, Apex Legends, and Valorant being added) with a slew of secondary titles supported, as well as a variety of weekly events to offer our members different ways to connect with each other. We’ve drastically expanded our social initiatives to offer a more comprehensive community environment than strictly gaming, and have always maintained a focus around offering the best possible experience for our members.

While we feel we’ve created a welcoming environment, we also know as a new member that joining a new gaming community can feel a bit daunting. There’s a lot of new names and often times concerns around ‘what am I invited to?’ That’s why all of our members get the same access to our #looking-for-game channels, and why we take the extra initiative to make sure our newest members are included in invites by name during their first week here. We believe these small steps can help make your experience here that much more inviting, and welcome you into Mythril. And don’t just take our word for it, see what our members are saying in our testimonials. This is a Gaming Community, we do not make a profit off of anything and this is not a business, just a fun collective of active people to game with.

We recently branched out to create another discord where our team and our tournaments will be hosted. This server was created with the goal or branching out and networking with other gaming communities and teams. If you want to collaborate on an event or a twitch stream, feel free to reach out to us.

We hope to see you join our community, and if you’re already a member - thank you for being the best part of Mythril.
