What are your community guidelines?

1) Must be 18+ years old, speak English, and have a mic.

2) Be respectful to others – behind every screen name is a human being. Show respect, kindness, and empathy to each other. From this, the following is NOT allowed: racism, sexism, raging, porn/nudity, overly offensive or illegal content, edgelord behavior, staff abuse, repeated negativity or passive aggressiveness, or discrimination against the LGBTQ2S+ community. Additionally, please avoid griefing/trolling, poor sportsmanship, and/or rage quitting in-game.

3) No promotion of 3rd parties (Discords, teams, groups, etc.) either in server or via unsolicited DM. We do not accept owners, recruiters, staff, etc. of competing organizations.

4) Please keep LFG requests to our community, and support the server by utilizing our voice channels whenever possible. For text, please post in the correct channels.

5) No profiteering - utilizing our community for your own financial gain (promoting your business, Craigslist, Etsy, etc.). Stream links are allowed.

6) Usernames/Statuses/Profile Pics: Usernames need to have at least the first four characters in standard Latin alphabet characters to ensure members can easily tag each other. Profile pictures and statuses must align with general community guidelines on respectful content and no external recruitment.

7) In-game clans, clubs, organizations, servers etc. utilizing our name and/or our roster, must be approved by Leadership. Please DM Shadow Slayer to discuss.

8) Members who are representing MYTHRIL either in a indirect/direct capacity must follow our community TOS. This includes but is not limited to: teams participating in external events/tournaments, members promoting our community on other platforms, or members displaying MYTHRIL logos/links, etc.

9) Please refrain from discussions and/or debates on politics or religion.

10) This is a cheat-free community – do not post about violating games’ TOS, hacking, cheating, etc.

11) Leadership reserves the sole right in interpreting and enforcing policies.

12) Your discord account must be at least 6 months old.

• Activity guideline: 3-hours of voice in our Discord over 30-days.

Why a Meet & Greet? What if I can’t make the time?

We believe in the value of a personal connection. Because of this, we’ve structured the Meet & Greets so you can meet one of our Staff members who will give you server permissions, highlight the group, introduce you to the community, and get you into game with our members.

If you are unable to make this time, please tag @Staff in #guest-chatroom in our Discord.

How many members are in the community? What games do you play?

We have 300 members, most of which are based in North America.

Our four largest titles are Overwatch, Apex Legends, League of Legends, and Valorant. Members are encouraged to play anything they want together, and as a result we have an active Minecraft, Sea of Thieves, Fortnite etc. base.

Can I invite my friends?

Yes. Members are encouraged to invite their friends to the community - either as a referral to join, or for temporary guest access to join you for the night.

Can I still join if I’m not in North America?

Absolutely. We have members from around the world. Due to the timezone discrepancies, please contact us in #recruit-chat regarding a meet and greet time. That being said, however, please remember that given we’re a predominately NA-based group, our memberbase plays on NA servers, and during NA times.

What type of events do you have?

Please check out our Events page.

What skill ranges are allowed? Are both casual and competitive played?

Being a casual community, our members have a wide range of skill level. From people who just started playing their particular titles, to members in the top 500. Everyone plays with everyone, and we welcome friendly and active gamers - regardless of your rank.

That being said, while most of our games are casual, we also have members who played competitive together and we feature competitive rank roles.

What will I be invited to? What if I’m shy?

All members have full access to our #looking-for-game channel, and are included in invites when any members are creating or filling groups. Additionally, you will have full access to all of our events, and are invited to any one which interests you.

If you’re shy - no worries! We do our best to welcome and include new members, both when it comes to chat, and also for game invites. We’ll make an extra effort to include you in game invites by name alongside our normal tags during the week.

Why do the activity guidelines include voice?

Being a gaming community, the core experience of our group is members engaging with each other. We strive to create an environment in which members from all games, skills, and backgrounds can find not just new people to play with, but a new home full of friends. As a result, we wish to maintain a roster which is indicative of members still interested in engaging with our community. From this, we established the voice guidelines of 3-hours over 30-days, on your time, any game, any room. You will never be required to attend an event, or be somewhere at a set day or time to continue being a member.

How do I join?

Join our Discord and attend one of our Meet & Greets to get set-up (held nightly, Tuesday - Sunday @ 9PM E/8C/6P). No applications needed.
